I did get the administrative tools to work (at first I didnt but eventually they did work). Thanks...

It took some looking but nothing worked until I did the finalthree .dll files netui0.dll, netui1.dll, netui2.dll, after the first regsvr32 of maildsmx.dll I copied the file again and ran regsvr32 again, no errors and everything worked. Though I am not running x64, that may be your issue. The following is the complete list of files that worked for me posted by gauerhoth from this link http://windowsconnected.com/blogs/joshs_blog/archive/2006/11/21/installing-the-windows-2003-administrator-tools-on-windows-vista-rtm.aspx address.dll escprint.dll exchmem.dll glblname.dll maildsmx.dll pttrace.dll Next copy the following three files from \windows\system32\ of a running install of Windows 2003 (maybe XP as well, haven't checked): netui0.dll netui1.dll netui2.dll Finally: regsvr32 \windows\system32\maildsmx.dll

For me no such luck even again. For instance.. recopied the address.dll file .. regsvr32 gave me the same error message. I think that on x64 it just may not work.

You only have to run regsvr32 on the maildsmx.dll, then just run regsvr32 again, it was the second time I ran it that it took. I don't believe there is an adminpak install specific for x64 so I would "guess" that shouldn't be the problem. I don't have any other suggestions, sorry

I ran into the same issues with maildsmx.dll not registering. I copied the the files from the Exchsrvr\bin directory on the Exchange server to the same location on my PC and registered the dll file from this location and it works now

Copying the files into the c:\program files\exchsrvr\bin folder that I created on my Vista x64 machine fixed this. I was running into thesame issues with the maildsmx.dll not registering.Might be interesting to note that I found these files in the\program files\exchsrvr\bin on our exchange servers. Good find Thank you Jim! RG

This solution which is floating ard in the internet seems to work on 32 bit Windows 7 atm. The DLL file in the Exchange 2003 could be of 32bit hence the failure to load properly. Anyway would appericate someone from the MSX team to help us out here. not every Administrator has the luxury to create RDP to one server to manageit. It might be so in some areas but down here there is only 1 administratorto many servers. RDP slows down our work. therefore would like to appeal for a tool to allow us to manage ADUC with Exchange for Windows 7 64bit.

Not sure if it helps, but try the Remote Administration Tools for Vista...
