Vista QoS Policy User Configuration
Windows Vista has a new QoS Policy feature that allows Policy-based QoS at application level. For local group policy object, QoS policy can be configured under both User Configuration and Computer Configuration. I was able to see it workin under Computer Configuration when creating a simple QoS Policy that simply limiting outbound network traffic to a specific rate. However, I wasn't able to set it up under User Configuration. Ideally, I would like to have different users logging into to the Vista box and each user has different QoS group policy. In addition, I tried to put these two Vista box with Longhorn server, the same effect in that scenario as well. It only works under Computer Configuration. However, according to Windows Vista QoS documentation, it should work under both per-user and per-computer basis. Has anyone been able to get this working? Thank you.
