I am running windows vista ultimate and am using a speedtouch router to connect to the internet which is connected to two other computers running windows xp. Now the problem is that randomly the network connection drops and the router restarts alone and keeps restarting like every 10 minutes. I tried many things to solve the problem like 1)disabling TCP/IPv6 2)disabling UPnP on the router 3)assigning a static ip address and disabling dhcep server on the router------->(which managed to stop many of the restarts but not all) and offcourse i had to assign static ips on the other two computers 4)upgrading my router to the latest firmware 5)enabling NetBIOS over TCP/IP 6)Updating my NIC driver which i found to be allready havin the latest driver 7)doing all the previous steps at the same time Now about some of the observations:- 1)after i have done all of this and managed to stop many of the restarts i observed that now the router only restarts when i try to play a multiplayer game e.g (World of Warcraft) or even a normal game like (Age of empires3) 2)the problem is with windows vista because as long as my computer is turned off the router is normal and the 2 other computers can keep connected to it for weeks. 3)I see this message at the event viewer at the time of restarts The browser has forced an election on network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{3B144D9D-17A4-4005-9532-A98D897C5C26} because a master browser was stopped. 4)stoppin the computer browser service does not stop the restarts but it stops this message from appearin in the event viewer. 5) i tried to edit the keys in the registryin (Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters) as follows "MaintainSeverList Yes" and i added this string value "IsDomainMaster TRUE" 6)this sometimes manages to stop the restarts for the day but next dayi turn on the computerto find the restarts are back. NOW am really tired i have tried everything i can but nothing works even when something looks like it solved the problem the next time i turn my computer on i find the same problem back again So can u plzzz help i dnt know what to do!!!!!! PLZZZZZZ help would be appreciated

I suggest you contact the speedtouch manufacturer first for assistance, since they are the best resource to identify the culprit causing the router restart.
