Hi, Thank you for your post. From the post, I understand that: 1. There are two computers in the home network (laptop=vista home premium 32bit, PC= vista business 64bit). 2. The PC can see but cannot access the laptop. The laptop cannot see nor access the PC. Firstly, please check Network and Sharing Center and make sure that Network Discovery and File sharing are turned On. After that, please perform the following steps to check the network connectivity: 1. Logon laptop, open Command Prompt (cmd.exe), and type the following command:ping <computer name of the PC> 2. If ping successes, please click Start, and type \\<compuernameofthePC> to check the result. 3. If ping fails, please perform the following steps to collect additional information for further research:3.1 Please copy the output of the ping and paste in the current thread.3.2 Please type the following command on BOTH laptop and PC: ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt3.3 Open the file ipconfig.txt, and paste the content in the current thread. 4. Please logon the PC and ping the laptop as the step 1 to confirm the result as well. Hope it helps. Sincerely, Joson Zhou Microsoft Online Community Support

I have a similar problem, except on my laptop, when I go to the "network and Sharing" screen,I cannot find an avenue to access the network discovery on/off toggle. I just get a message that I am not connected to any networks. When I click on "Connect To A Network",I get a screen that says "Windows Cannot Find Any Networks".
