Vista Home Premium and Wireless.
I'm installing Vista from scratch on my laptop, wireless connection, it sees my SSID, but every time I try to connect, it prompts for a userid/pass/domain, WHY or what do I have to do to disable the prompting? I'm going around in circles right now with it. I"ve manually configured many times, and still get the login when I try to connect

I'm assuming that this is a home computer that doesn't connect to a corporate network. Go to Control Panel > Classic View > System. Make sure that the computer is configured as a member of a workgroup, not a domain. Check your wireless router's encryption settings, and make sure that it's not configured to use 802.11X authentication or a Radius server. If that doesn't help, please give us more information: 1. How are you trying to connect to the wireless network? What exactly are you clicking? 2. What is the complete and exact text of the userid/pass/domain prompt?
