I'm setting up a domain system for the first time at the company I work for, and we recently upgraded most of the systems to Vista Enterprise. I set the logon mode to always require a full username and password, and I can logn with DOMAIN\user, however the end users will not want to remember to enter DOMAIN\ first. Is there a way to set the default domain so they can just enter the username to the network domain controller without having to enter DOMAIN\?

Hi dude500,By default, you will logon to the domain the computer joins to, if you type the username without the DOMAIN\. For example, when the computer joins the domain AA and you want to logon to the computer with the domain account which is located in the same domain, you can simply type the username of that domain account instead of AA\username. If you type Administrator as the username, however, Windows Vista will default to the local administrator account. To log on as the domain Administrator you must log on as domainname\Administrator. You can verify the domain name by checking the value of log on to in the logon screen.Hope the information is helpful.
