Hi,
This behavior occurs if your network adapter driver is corrupt. I suggest that you reinstall it. Please remove the existed driver first.
1. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter.
2. Expand "Network Adapters", double-click on the entry of the network device.
3. Click the tab "Driver", click "Uninstall".
4. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter.
5. Remove the entries related to the network adapter.
The latest driver can be downloaded from the following website.
http://www.hp.com/#Support
Please search the drivers by your computer model, and download the driver of the network adapter. After downloading, install it.
If the issue persists, I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. Then check the result.
