Vista Business clients cannot access shared folders through APN
Hi, Recently I have configured an APN (HSDPA)to connect to my corporate network. I have XP P & Vista Business clients to connect through APN. Both OS can connect to email server, ping, access server through remote desktop. But Vista clients cant access shared folders on corporate network where XP P doesnt have any problem on same. If I type the network path on Run it gives me the error as follows. Windows cannot access \\server1\share1 Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. Diagnose doesnt work. Any idea please? Thanks

Hi, Before moving on, please check the following steps: 1. Click Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet, then the Network and Sharing Center icon. 2. Click the Manage network connections task on the left side of the window. Click to select Local Area Connection, and then right click and choose Properties from the menu choices. 3. Make sure that Client for Microsoft Networks appears in the This connection uses the following items: box. If it is not there, install it by clicking Install, Client, then Add. Click Client for Microsoft Networks, then click OK. Check the box that appears to the left of the Client for Microsoft Networks listing if one does not already appear there. Restart the computer then test the issue again. Thanks.
