Vista Beta SPI Bug
Hi all, Can someone please help me out here. I understand that this constant interuption in internet surfing is caused by SPI in my router. My router is a Speedtocuh 716WL v5.0 and there is no way of turning SPI off as far as I can see, nor should I need to. Is there a workaround solution. Many thanks Darren

I have the same problem. I spoke with the Linksys customer service people about my RT41BU wired router and they said that SPI cannot be turned off on this router. Many other routers also have SPI that cannot be turned off. Also, turning off the Windows firewall does not solve the problem. I don't think I should have to change my 6 month old router to be able to use the internet properly. Does anyone know if the SPI in the Windows firewall can be disabled? Thanks in advance

Have you tried to disable the spi firewall from the command line interface (CLI) start a telnet session and issue the following command: firwall config state=-disabled (reported to work on speedtopuch 500 series). I can confirm that running:firewall config state=disabledvia a telnet interface against my 716WL does stop SPI, and allows Vista to work through it.
