Vista BUILD 6000 network not useable at home office
Vista Build 6000 on a Dell Latitude D620 Laptop with Office 2007 Pro. Computer and User are in a company active directory domain. When connected to the companies LAN, the system works without any problems. Kix login script is executed, surfing the internet and downloading files works fine and outlook 2007 in cached mode works with exchange server without any problems. Problem : Taking this machine to a home office it is impossible to work with it ! In a home office we always use a Sonicwall TZX VPN Firewall Router connected to an ADSL line with 10MBit downstream and 768kBit upstream. The Sonicwall hardware provides a VPN tunnel to the companies headquarter. Starting up and logging into Vista is no problem but the kix login script is not executed, Vista just show the command prompt window and stops. I waited for about 3 hours (until battery was down) but nothing happens - i just see the command prompt window until i kill it with the task manager. Next try was starting up and logging in without network cable plugged in no problem. Plug in the network cabled after startup is finished and trying to surf. Regular web pages are displayed ok but when trying to download a file the IE reacts with a not responding. If you do this with three or more IE sessions Vista responds with Windows Explorer does not respond any more => error reporting to MS => restarting windows explorer - but still no response from Vista except of showing blue ribbon => hard shutdown. Started up and logged in without network cable plugged in. Plug in network cable and starting up Outlook 2007 in cached mode. Outlook starts up and is showing a window where it is looking for a template (it does not finishish searching for it within 30 minutes). I cancel the request twice then outlook tells me connected to exchange server but the mails are not going to be updated, i waited again almost 1 hour but nothing happens except the message waiting to update this folder in the bottom status line. Using the same hardware at the home with XP SP2 and Office 2007 installed works without any problems. Anybody there with same problem or is anybody able to help ?
