Vista - loading webpages
Why do certain webpages take so long to load? Many times, when pages are taking thier time loading, the page will revert to a search page. Using the same DSL connection, my laptop loads these same webpages immediately. Is there a setting somewhere i can change?

Some pages contain huge amount of advertising code executing whenvisitor waits for their opening completes. For example, http://www.howtonetworking.com, http://www.chicagotech.netand many others. Try to click those links and you'll see what I'm talk about. May be, you have visited some pages of that kind. You wrote: "Is there a setting somewhere i can change?" - I believe there is no such settings. If they (theoretically) exist, why did MS disable 'em ? And it's fact, that most software toolspromising "200% acceleration of connection speed" (or so)is nothing else like trojans, adware, spyware, dialers etc.
