Vista - Explorer Stops Responding; Must End Process on Multiple iexplore.exe in Task Manager  to Fix
I'm running Vista on an AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 3800+. Only lately (started Feb 2010) I'm having problems with Explorer not responding. The Task Bar continues to work fine; there are no error messages. Sometimes I can't close IE8, but today I closed IE8, then had to End Process on multiple instances of iexplore.exe in Task Manager. Then all is well as the things I clicked on all pop up. What's up?

Problem Solved. When I went to a certain website, it used certain active X controls that caused the problem. It was Active View Control and ActiveViewGUI Control that caused the problem. I can use IE8 for viewing my security cameras now, but this problem requires that I use Task Manager to close IE8 when finished with it.
