Vista & Domain Problems.
Hi all, Bit of a strange problem, but any help will be useful, as i've just spent all day getting nowhere. I'm currently workings in Evaluation and Pilot where its been decided that the company will be putting Vista machines onto our current NT4 network. SOhave an NT4 domain of which i want to join a Vista machine. (Don't tell me no to have the NT4 domain etc.. i know its rubbish and old but i cant get away from not having it so i need to find a work-around). After much hassle i managed to join the machine to the domain, having changed some local security settings on the vista machine (as per most other posts around on the net) etc. But when i re-boot it to then log on to the domain, with the username & password that i know works. It just wont happen I get the following message: "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed." Now what on earth is this? I've searched high and low but i cant find any solution? Help!!! Jonathon Black

Hello Jonathon, If you haven't already, you can try the steps mentioned in this KB article. Keep in mind that Microsoft doesn't support joining a Vista based client to a NT 4.0 domain.
