Virus - Probably Redolf infection in Windows 7
Hi, I just loaded my notebook with windows 7. Clean install. After populating it with my software, I also downloaded Avira. To find out to my horror that despite all precautions, I found desktop.ini replicating in my system especially the MY PICTURE folder. I unloaded avira & installed Panda. Still its there. Even Norton Free Scan, Bit Defender Quick Scan, Panda pqremove & active scan did not remove the infection. I'm really heavy here. Why?

First get the malicious software removal tool and then get the Microsoft Security Essentials. I have everything on my site, so you can clean up easy. If that does not work, visit my forum. Use the Windows IT area and the appropriate Windows version. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Mainframe RaidMax Smilodon, 680W, Asus M2NBP-VM CSM AMD X2 4200+, 2GB DDR2-800, x600, more details on my site, need a video card for the Windows machine, the 8600 GT fried

You can use notepad to open the desktop.ini and check if that is a malicious software. (You can paste the content here if you are not sure.) Also, for your reference, here is the link of Microsoft Security Essentials.http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/Sean Zhu - MSFT
