There seems to be some issues with a recent security update (KB3045999) and Virtualbox. My PC has Windows 8 and I run Virtualbox on it with Windows XP & Cent OS VMs. After getting the above update on April 15, I have not been able to open any of my VMs on Windows 8. An uninstall of the said update solves the issue and I am able to again boot my VMs on Windows 8. Many users of Virtualbox are having similar issues and a ticket has been submitted at Virtualbox and I want to do the same here at MS as there is definitely an issue with KB3045999. Any help will be welcome!
