The only way to prevent the black screen I've found is to go to Compatibility settings for VPC and 'Disable Desktop Composition', but that disables Aero and you lose every benefit of Windows 7's new taskbar, etc. Plus it's ugly and the tasbkar is so bright you can't see progress bars or flashing windows.

Hi RiebensThis has been bugged several times. Here are a couple of things you can try to work around this behavior.1. Minimize and then restore the VPC screen.2.Drag the VPC screen to a slightly different location.Hope this helps. Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP

I found a solution that worked for me in Vista where a similar problem occurs.1. Within yourVM, uninstall VM Additions. Reboot. 2. Perform a full uninstallation of Virtual PC 2007. Reboot. Install VPC 2007 SP1. 3. Install VM Additions within the VM.As soon as I reinstalled the program, VPC worked fine on my second screen.MCTS 70-620 Certified

I can't even install Virtual PC 2007 on my copy of Win 7 RC. It just says it's not compatible. Which sucks, because I don't have a processor that supports hardware virtualization, either, so I get no option for virtual PC...
