Hi Susanne,
There is no way to natively share video from a Lync client. Although you can share the application or desktop in order to achieve this, it results in a poor experience for those viewing the content. The recommended method is to embed said video into a PowerPoint presentation.
This means that your question then becomes can users view more than one PowerPoint presentation at the same time (one of which will have the embedded video).
In a single conference or session, you can have multiple amounts of 'shared content' uploaded to the conference, and depending on your meeting settings (through the 'who can look at content on their own' setting), users can choose which content they would like to look at whilst in the meeting. The problem would be that any given user can only view one piece of shared content at a time. So from within a single conference, user A would not be able to view multiple power point presentations at the same time.
You could have users join two separate conferences, and view different content in each at the same time, but this would be very clunky and may introduce other issues; such as you'd be muted in one, and people would be active in both conferences resulted in a disjointed experience.
In short there's no friendly native way to achieve this that I am aware of, sorry.
Kind regards
Thank you for a quick and clear reply, Ben!!
One more? I understood you can stream a live event into Lync using a video grabber, for example:

Will this be possible if we let go of the possibility to show the powerpoint?
(I've read somewhere that playing a video through powerpoint wasn't possible within Lync, true?)

Video embaded powerpoint presentation is possible.. For this you need Office Web App sever (WAC) deployed in your environment.
No problem,
The only way I have ever heard of this being achieved is using software that fools Lync into thinking the video stream is actually the webcam input.... such as explained here; http://aspoc.net/archives/2011/11/02/how-to-stream-a-video-into-a-lync-2010-online-meeting/
However Ramesh is correct, Lync 2013 fully supports embedded PowerPoint video since it is now streamed from an Office Web Apps server. With Lync 2010 this was not the case as the PowerPoint was streamed form the users local machine whish resulted in a poor experience.
Kind regards

Thank you both!
I don't want the video embedded in the powerpoint though. I want to stream it right away (a man talking for instance) at the same time people watch it in Lync. Any ways to do that?
In this case you would need to use a method similar to what I eluded to in my previous post as per below;

Hi SusProdFin,
The recommended way to share video clips in Lync 2013 is to use PowerPoint 2013 presentations. Playing video via PowerPoint in Lync 2013 has been used very successfully in many meetings.
But if you dont want to play the video in that way, Im afraid you have to look for the third-party solutions.
A related thread for your reference.
