Video going wild
I have only seen one posting for strange video/graphics display phenomena, but it has happened to me several times, without rhyme or reason. The display suddenly "twists" and "stretches", showing linear lines and triangles of the former screen display. This only changes with mouse movement. I have found that I can sorta locate the shutdown button & with a hard boot everything returns to normal. I am running an AMD 7550 dual core chip with the built in ATI radeon graphics on 32-bit WIndows 7 RC. Anyone else seen anything strange?

Yes, I just did my first build and I used that same chip. I am running Win-7 RC 64-Bit using built in graphics. I havn't spent much time troubleshooting the problem yet. There seems to be no ryme or reason for it the screen just goes graghical. I did read something possibly similar in the forum and it said to change performance level to full.

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. If there is dust on this card or its contact edge, please clear the dust off. 2. Boot the computer to Safe Mode and see if the issue persists. 3. Please monitor the temperature of the graphics card. If the temperature is too high, this may lead issues. 4. Please try the following driver: ATI Catalyst 9.7 Suite for Windows 7 (32-bit) Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
