Very slow office document since RTM
Hello, Everything was fine under RC, but since I install the RTM, I have some problem with office document on the network. It is very slow, office indicates "Downloading files" and it makes about 30s to open the document. We try opening files shared by a 2003/2008 server or a XP workstation, and the result is the same. I make the last test today with the XP mode on my RTM. The virtual XP open the document as quick as it always be, but my RTM Seven don't. It is very annoying since we have a very good experience with the RC. Can you help us ? Regards,

Hi a.morales, You can try to change the Group Policy to check the issue. Follow the steps below: 1. Click Start, type Gpedit.msc, and then press Enter. 2. Under User Configuration in the left pane, expand Administrative Templates, expand Windows Components, and then click Windows Explorer. 3. In the right pane, double-click Allow only per user or approved shell extensions, click Enabled, and then click OK. Besides, the issue may be caused by your antivirus apps, try to disable them when you downloading the files on the network. In case the issue is caused by a certain third party app, try a clean boot mode. Clean Boot =========== 1)Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window. 2)Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3)Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". 4)Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK. 5)Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment, if the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue Good luck. It seems that your Office is not installed properly, or any update is need. The issue also occurs if any incompatible Office add-ons exist. Since it is an Office issue, I suggest that you contact our Office support for assistance.Arthur Xie - MSFT
