Very Slow Windows Update installation
We have a couple of Windows 7 HP Laptops which are taking very long to install updates. a 200KB update can take a whole day or more to install. Even leaving the computer on overnight doesnt help. This happens when using either WSUS or Windows Online Update. Please assist

bmataire, Can you look at the c:\windows\windowsupdate.log logfile. And look witch KB number take a long time to install and its exit code? If you can't read the windowsupdate.log file, post the contents to pastebin.org and provide me the link. Kind Regards DFTIM me - TWiTTer: @DFTER

I started my updates on July 3rd and was starting and restarting and no my laptop now says failure configuring service pack reverting changes.. Help

Hi, I would like to check that if all the computers in your network install the updates slowly. What about to download the others from the internet? Please try to perform update in Clean Boot. Also, please let me know if there is any error encountered when trying to perform update. Help OK try backing up your files and do a full restore. Then install all updates Windows MVP, paid Remote Assistance is available for XP, Vista and Windows 7.
