VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G3 issue with Windows XP, Vista, and 7
VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G3. The problem is it adds itself to the Trusted Root and increases the users certificate from 3 to 7. Most websites that use certs for authorization cannot read more than 3 levels deep. We had to manually remove it on all affected systems. It keeps trying to install itself from all applications, word, excel, Ouotlook etc. I have emailed and called VeriSign and all they can say is ask Microsoft.

Hi, Based on your description, the VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G3 automatically add itself to the Trusted Root. You should check the setting on it. There's no clue in Windows 7 we can find for you. I recommend you contact the VeriSign support for further research, it seems the issue occurs on different versions of system you have.
