Hi! I have a problrm connecting to a VPN. When Itry to connect, it gets to verifying user name & passwords and fails. The remote server never gets the request. When I try to diagnose it says no problem is found. I can connect to this VPN from XP. I can also connect to other VPN's from this machine. It is just this one VPN. Any ideas why or how I can diagnose this? Thanks!Joe

I have the same problem, vpn tunnel works fine in Xp but not in Vista with same settings!Hope some one can help with this.Kind RegardsKent

Can you attached RAS logs. Pls. do the following to collect RAS logs: 1. Open elevated command prompt. 2. netsh ras set tracing * enabled 3. Replicate the problem. 4. netsh ras set tracing * disabled 5. The logs will be located at %windir%\tracing folder. 6. Zip the logs and send the logs. Thanks, Vamsi

I know what it is, but I don;t like it. The VPN server I am connecting to only does CHAP 1. From what I read MS dropped CHAP 1 support is vista. So I will never be able to connect to this client's network with VPN. Joe

This is propably not my problem i am rejected by the firewall! Running on Clavister firewall!

Can you tell me what error message you see? Can you also send me the failure event from the "Event Viewer"?
