VPN set up & Protected EAP Properties
I have Windows 7 Ultimate and when I am tryign otset up a VPN connection a requirement is to make an adjustment in the Protected EAP Properties window to uncheck the Validate server certificate and to check the Enforce Network Access Protection boxes. When I do this then 'ok' the change in that window and 'ok' the changes to the Security Tab seting in the VPN setup it does not save the change I made. I go back in to the same Security tab int eh VPN window then into the Properties of the Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) (encryption enabled) Authentication and the changes I had just made are not there. Why will this not work? Is there a way to correct this so that it will save?

Hi, Can you reproduce the scenario? Do you create a VPN connecting to work network? I just created a VPN and configured Protected EAP Properties as yours. I can save the change without issue. I am assuming that the domain administrator has fixed the encrypted method to prevent you from changing it, please contact the company administrator to confirm. Or there might be a program preventing you from configuring PEAP. Please Clean Boot your system to try. In my case this problem was presents only in Lenovo laptops, and the solution is use the Lenovo Access Connection Program, for configure VPN properties. Create new profile, on Aditionals values Enable VPN connection, on values add VPN created previously (on Control Panel, network and internet), select Edit, go to Security option and Use EAP (PEAP) properties, write server name, certificates, enable Network Address Protection and select OK two times. Check again VPN parameters on Control Panel, Network & Internet, Network connections, VPN configuration, Security. Donato
