VPN problem
Hi Its not actually a problem with VPN. but when I am connected to my remote network through VPN, I cannot surf the internet using IE and msn, skype do not connect. When i disconnect VPN connection IE, MSN, skype start working again. Anyone had same problem? Any solution? Thanks in advance

Are you using the built-in PPTP VPN client? If so you can configure to enable/disable split tunneling. Note the security implications.. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg1003.mspx So it depends on what VPN your using....With some VPNs, ie. OpenVPN for example, split tunneling can be enabled/disabled on the server side and the client has no control. I believe Cisco also is configured server side so the client has no control.Others, ie. MS PPTP VPN for example, can be configured client side.

I am using the Cisco VPN client Version 5.0.03.0530 on Windows 2008 Server Standardwith split tunneling enabled on the server and the client and I still cannot browse the internet when I am connected to the Cisco VPN. Is there something else on the Windows side that is causing this???
