I upgraded my PC from XP to Vista yesterday. Since then all my VPN connections will not work. The connectiontimes out trying to connect and makes an entry in the Event Log:- CoID={1397C263-4F45-4EE2-8770-F6AAE13C7882}: The user xxxxxxx\xxxxxx dialed a connection namedxxx which has failed. The error code returned on failure is 0. This has a RasClient Event Id of 20227. I have tried creating new connections and they have the same problem. The local machine firewall has been disabled. My XP laptop is connecting to the VPNs without problem. Th remote access connection manager iservice is started OK. Found a few similar problems on the internet, but no clear solutions. Any ideas?

I have the same problem too. The same Event log. And it works fine on XP Pro.

I also have the same problem, unable to establish vpn connection using Vista to 2000 advanced server. works fine on XP Pro vpn client.
