VPN connection stop working with Error 800 and Error 619
I am working for about 2 months with Win 7 and everything on the first month were ok, meaning I was able to VPN my customers and then suddenly (probably after installing somethning) I got a Error 800. I then searched the internet for solutions and found a workarround: Reseting the Winsock stack: netsh winsock reset catalog pause netsh int ip reset reset.log pause After doing that I got the error number 619. I also found that there is a software named portqry that i can check the ports TCP 1723 and UDP 1701 and found that the 1723 is LISTENING and UDP 1701 is FILTERING. Please your help.

Hi, After checking this issue, may I know the following: 1. Where is this client located? A domain with ISA server or other firewall? 2. How about other Windows clients or Windows 7 clients? 3. What is the VPN type VPN type, SSTP, L2TP or PPTP? 4. If moving this computer to other network, is this VPN connection able to be established? Here, I suggest you could do the following operation, and tell us the result: 1. Ping the VPN server. 2. Run “netstat” to check if the port 1723 is in use. 3. Disable firewall to have a try: Netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off I am looking forward your update. In addition, I would like to share the following link with you: List of Error Codes that you may receive when you try to make a dial-up connection or a VPN connection in Windows 7 Regards, Alex Zhao Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
