VPN connection problems in Win7 XP Mode
Hi, I am able to get my VPN to connect in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I can access the internet through IE or other tools in both Win7 and XP Mode. However, I cannot get the VPN to connect from XP mode using the same settings. It gets stuck on the "Verifying username and password". I either have to click Cancel, or wait for the redial a minute later and it still doesn't connect. I have triple-checked the settings, username, password, etc. between Win7 VPN and XP Mode VPN. I checked the network adapter under Device Manager in XP mode and it lists the same Intel 21140-based adapter as Win7 does. Any ideas of what I can try?

Correction.... Here is what the Device Manager says under Network Adapter: In XP mode it says Intel 21140 fast Ethernet In Win7 mode it says Intel 82577LM Gigabit I don't know if this matters. Probably not. A friend with a similar setup says XP mode shows the same Intel 21140, but his Win7 is running wireless.

Right click the XP mode under Virtual Machine, then settings, then networking and try changing the adapter to the same one Win 7 is using; Intel 82577LM Gigabit
