VPN connection problem with windows 7 - Error 809
Hello Cannot connect to university VPN site for some reason... error 809 kept popping up. everyone else in the house seems to be able to connect (so shouldn't be the problem with the router?!) anyway we're on sky broadband, router model DSL2460S Ver. A1 Wireless G ADSL2+ Please help if you could! Some messages suggested to ping the VPN or changing firewall settings - but could not figure out how to do that on Windows 7!! Or what exactly I need to change.... Thanks in advance.

We get this error 809 when, The network connection between your computer and the VPN server could not be established because the remote server is not responding. This could be because one of the network devices (e.g., firewalls, NAT, routers, etc.) between your computer and the remote server is not configured to allow VPN connections. Please contact your Administrator or your service provider to determine which device may be causing the problem. Turn off the firewall on your computer and then try to access the VPN
