I have just set up a VPN server on Windows 2008 r2.  I am able to successfully establish a VPN connection from my Android device.  However, I am not able to establish the connection with my Windows 8.1 machine nor my Windows 7 machine.  I am using PPTP.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Based on the error code description, the network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted. This can be caused by a problem in the VPN transmission and is commonly the result of internet latency or simply that your VPN server has reached capacity.

I would like to suggest you check these:

1. Make sure "Routing and Remote Access" service is enabled.

2. Check your ISP to check sure all needed port is open.

3. If you have installed some other security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the computers, please also temporarily disable or remove it and check if it works.
