VPN Won't Die
I deleted a VPN connection using the Win7 Network and Sharing service in Control Panel. I was successful in deleting the connection, but I cannot use Outlook. Whenever I try to open Outlook it comes up with a login window for logging into the company VPN (i.e., xxxxmail.xxxx.com). The user name field in this window is a drop-down box that now only gives "OWNER-PC/homegroupuser#" as an option. I don't know what that is or what the password might be. When I fail to complete the user name and password fields in this window, Outlook gives me a message that it cannot start. People in the Outlook forum say this is a VPN problem and send me to the networking forum. This is probably correct because I can't get into Outlook to change anything. While I would like to preserve the contacts and emails I have, I am ready to forgo that if necessary to resolve the problem. Glenn Rickards
