VPN WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE REMOTE DESKTOP
I have a Dell XPS9000 running windows 7 ultimate with dual monitors, I have a VPN configured as instructed and it successfully connects, I open a remote desktop and place it on the right hand monitor where it works just fine, the left hand monitor is my local desktop when I try to open IM or IE8 on my local desktop they will not connect. I need help.

Your default gateway for the VPN must be set to use remote gateway, unselect that (may have issues with netwotking across VPN with that change)

Hi, You need to uncheck the VPN to use the remote gateway instead of the local gateway. Please take the following steps: 1) Click Start and click Control Panel. 2) Click Networking and Internet, click Network and Sharing Center. 3) Click Change adapter settings and right click VPN connection. 4) Click Properties and click Network. 5) Click TCP/IPv4, click Properties. 6) Click Advanced and uncheck the box “Use default gateway on remote network”. 7) Click OK twice. Best Regards Dale Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
