VPN - Error 609 - Windows 7
Hello. I have access to the internet, but the windows says I'm not connected, using both a wired or wireless connection. The problem is: when I try to use my VPN connection, I receive the following message: "Error 609: A device type was specified that does not exist". The funny thing is that it was working last week, and this problem occurred suddenly. I found a similar question in the Vista forums and I tried the solution proposed there, but it didn't work for me. The link is http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/953795 I would be very much happy if someone could help me. Thanks.

Was there a Windows update around the time this started happening?

Yes, there was. I tried to restore my system to several earlier points but it didnt work. To be honest, as I really need a working VPN connection, I reinstalled the system. However, it's still useful keep this topic, since people might pass through this same issue (or even me, again). So, thanks for answering.
