VISTA Cant Connect to the network/internet
What gives i have a nforce network controller.. But cant pull a IP. When i switch to xp it works. But, Vista. Still giving me limited or no connectivity. I am connected directly to a Cable modem. So I dont know what gives. Is there any special settings that I have to do to pull a ip. Called Time Warner and they said they can see my mac addy. Any advice?

I have the same problem - anyone know why home permium only gives me the options for dialup or broadband pppoe

This may not fix your problem, but you need it if you ever want to access your xp machines from vista. try this: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=70582 installer on your XP machines reboot everything, and it should work. It did for me. Spread it around as much as you can. It should me on the front page of the New York Times!
