Hi,

I am using dell inspiron 3537 laptop and using windows 8.1 Enterprise edition. When I hibernate, every time I want to get the laptop up again, I get  "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR". The system restarts and I lose the previous state.
Sometime the error also occurs when I shutdown and want to the get the system up again.

 Please note that after facing this issue I have installed the latest driver available on dell website, but it has proved to be futile.

The dump shows that the issue is caused by dxgkrnl.sys (Microsoft DirectX graphics kernal driver) and igdkmd64.sys is related with intel graphic driver, Have you tried to update or just reinstall the graphic driver?

Hey Bro.. It's 100% Display Driver's problem.. Don't update Drivers file with Windows Update or windows driver update. just install the files following method.

1. Install INF

2. Install ATA/ATAPI Controllers

3. Install Secondary GPU or Graphics cards

4. finally install the Intel Graphics.

it works well..

Can you give me more clear about your method?

I don't know INF.

I was having a problem of DPC watchdog violation and it just disappeared after updating to 8.1. now i am getting video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error message in the first boot up . I tried windows update but after updating my AMD catalyst controller not working. It  automatically switching to intel graphics and AMD control centre will be de activated . Can you please help me to solve this one .?? It really sucks . Every time after first boot i need to re start my system to get AMD work.
