Using Outlook Express 6 with multiple identies.
I've created multiple identities, but cannot switch from one to another and then back to main identity. The Outlook Express program exits and I have to reboot the computer. This is with a new drive from Dell and they said they could help me for a rather large fee. Please help me if you can.

Had hard drive problems. It was replaced by Dell under warrenty. I set up outlook express 6 with multiple identities. I cannot go from one identity to another and back to the original, without rebooting my computer. The Dell folks said certian things need to be changed in order for it to work properly. They would not tell me what they were without a hefty charge. I used to use this feature with my old hard drive. Please help me if you can... Thanks in advance.

Can you switch between identities other than the main identity? It is very common for the default main identity to become corrupt. Create another new identity and test it. If all is well, import your messages and address book from the main identity and delete it.Note: Do not use the word Main in the name of any identity you create.Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
