Using 802.1x, IP address renewed during every re-authentication?
Hi all, We were using XP systems for 802.1x auth and in regards to this particular issue (not all), DHCP was working fine. However after upgrading to Windows 7, and using the native supplicant, RADIUS re-auth is now showing that we are "resuming authentication" on the RADIUS server, as opposed to re-authenticating. This appears to correlate with the fact that the authenticator (Juniper Netscreen firewall) is re-assigning an IP address to the supplicant every time our 802.1x is set to re-authenticate. Our re-auth period is set to 3 minutes, and the DHCP lease time is set to 3 days. This may sound like it's not an issue with the Windows system, but this issue is not the case when using an XP system. I appreciate any thoughts on this! Thanks
