As far as I am aware it gets this information from the users SIP address property. So if this is updated it should work, however sometimes it may take some time to propagate down.

I've seen issues where you have to wait for the offline address book in Outlook to update before it works.

Maybe try and download the address book manually in Outlook via Send/Receive or try it on a PC with a new mail profile (which should grab the latest address book with the changes) and see if that helps.

If you do a Get-CsUser against the user all the properties look ok?

get-csuser gives me everything with correct last name . get-csaduser also gives the correct last name in all fields.

Have you try to delete the Lync profile for the users on the Client pc?

The Meeting URL is related with SIP account, it is not related the last name or the display name.

If you didnt change the SIP address, the Meeting URL wouldnt change.

sip address has been changed in Lync with correct sip:firstname.Lastname@company.com ; that was the first thing we did.

Have you had the user login to the dialin.domain.com page and click "Reset my Assigned Conference information"?
