Userenv errors on Windows XP Pro SP3 system
Hello, I have a Windows XP SP3 system that is on a domain. I am getting the following two errors on the system every 30-60 minutes.********************Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: UserenvEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 1053Date: 9/28/2010Time: 11:52:07 AMUser: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEMComputer: SIMCOE3Description:Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: UserenvEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 1030Date: 9/28/2010Time: 12:58:10 PMUser: S-1-5-21-366707069-3276338500-2921863901-1118Computer: SIMCOE3Description:Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.***********************I have tried looking up the error codes but have not been able to figure out the root cause and a proper solution for them. The users can still access network folders and the internet. As an IT admin, can not access the system via WMIC commands, which is preventing me from monitoring the Hard Drive, CPU and Ram usage. The above errors are also filling up my log files much quicker than other systems. This is the only system in the local office that is showing these errors (there are 5 other computers in office)The servers that this desktop connect to are a windows 2003 server, and a windows 2008 server. The 2003 server is the PDC in the network. Any information that you could provide in helping me resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete Seeger 1 person needs an answerI do too
