User rights to be able to install software and hardware
Hello, What settings or group policy changes do I need to set in order to allow standard users the ability to install software on there own without needing administrator privileges? I have no problem making all of our users local administrators, but then they are able to use there password to see the wireless key, and other things of this nature. We have about 1000 users that on occasion install software and devices on there machines and we do not want to have to manage this at all. There seems to be no happy medium between local administrators and local users.... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Dan.

Hi, By design, Windows 7 don't allow any power users or the non-administrators to install the third party driver that are not signed by a trusted root. You could get more information on standard user: What is a standard user account? Hope it helps.
