User name in task manager sometimes blank
Running XP SP3 on a Dell PC.After re-booting, sometimes the process tab of task manager reports that only a few of the processes have a User Name. Other times after re-booting, I find all processes have a User Name.Is this normal? If not, does anyone know what might cause this behavior?Thanks1 person needs an answerI do too

That is curious. What are the Processes (the Image Name column) that have no User Name?In the bottom of Task Manager. do you have the Show processes from all users box checked (that is how I like to use it).To eliminate questions and guessing, please provide additional information about your system. What is your system make and model? What is your XP version and Service Pack?Click Start, Run and in the box enter:msinfo32Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select All, Copy and then paste the information back here. There will be some personal information (like System Name and User Name), and whatever appears to be private information to you, just delete it from the pasted information.Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc.Perform some scans for malicious software, then fix any remaining issues:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs then troubleshoot any remaining issues:Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if desired.Don't guess what the problem might be - figure it out and fix it.
