User cannot take ownership in Windows Explorer while he has permission to do so
I've recently encountered a troubling problem: Users (who have a standard user account) cannot take ownership of files and folders using Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) even though they have appropriate Take Ownership permissions. I have verified that they can do so via takeown.exe, although this is inconvenient for them. Is this only on my network or is it a known bug of Windows Explorer that can be reproduced on all computers? If it is a bug, is there a way around it? And if it is a bug, where can I report it? Thanks in advance. The greatest moment of everyone's life is the moment of positive thinking.

You cannot change the ownership of system components to standard users. These files are highly protected. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Excuse me? System components? I didn't mean system components. Just a bunch of files...The greatest moment of everyone's life is the moment of positive thinking.
