User can not copy his folder from network share after upgrading to 7 pro
i have a user who can not copy files to his folder in the network share. when i try to copy some files to his folder it gives error. File Access Error You require permission from the computer's administrator to make changes to this file. Try Again or Cancel. when i click try again same message. there is a network share N: and in there is his folder (username) with permissions to only allow him to make changes and he has full rights. i checked the folder permission. this worked fine when he had XP on the pc and he was able to copy files ok to the drive. But after win 7 pro installed (from scratch) and joined the domain he can not copy file this folder. Now i have no idea if its win 7 or the domain. (the domain is 2003)

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please ensure that you logon Windows 7 with Administrator account. 2. Check the permission of the share (mapped drive) from the host machine. 1) Logon the computer which hosts the share. 2) Check both Sharing and Security settings on all of the share folder’s properties, and make sure that you have assigned the “Full-Control” permissions to “Everyone”. According your description, this issue is occurring on Windows 7 system. In order to get the answer effectively, it is recommended to post a new question in Windows 7 Forum for further discussion in the future. The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.
