User can create but not delete their own files from SBS 2008 shares.
We have a user that can create files and delete them in their local machine's User folder but not from their redirected user folders (desktop and my documents). They can create and delete folders on all of the other shares they have access too, oddly enough. This was a Windows 7 Professional direct upgrade from Vista. The permissions on the folders and share are fine. We have 20 XP users in the office that have had no problems for years. We have one other Windows 7 user in the office with a new machine (clean install) that also isn't having the same problems. Event logs on the server and client don't show any problems either. This is a bizarre case. Can create and delete files on the local machine. Can create and delete files on mapped drives. Can create but not delete files on special redirected user shares even though another windows 7 user can. Help?

Hi, This issue can occur if the user's permission on certain folder is not correct. Please right click the problematic folder and click Properties. Then, please click Security tab->Click Advanced button->Effective Permissions. Please click "Select" button to add the problematic user account and check the "Delete" options. After that, please test the issue again. For more information, please refer to the following article:Permissions for files and foldersThanks, Novak
