How can I correct this?Does it happen while you are logged into of these accounts? Can you provide us with the Event Viewer Error log.HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427/en-usPlease we need just the error messages with Red (X) and don't repeat theerror. Just one of each kind and post them back in your next post.nass -- http://www.nasstec.co.uk

I do not receive any error message. This occurs when in one account I chose to "log off" which takes me to a screen where I choose "switch user" and from there I get a blue screen which lists both accounts. At this time when I click on the other account all I get is a solid black screen without any message. I have left the screen on for a couple of minutes but get no further message. At this time I have had no choice but to manually turn off and restart the computer.

Still the log file will show us the culprit and if the User Switching is damaged or corrupt.Try to run a thorough scan on this machine and also the system File Checker:sfc /scannowPlease send us the Event Viewer Log.Regards nass -- http://www.nasstec.co.uk
