User Logon Missing
I have Windows XP Pro and recently added another user. It would only let me set him up as an administrator so we had two administrators. Everything worked fine until something updated this morning (i don't know what) and when the computer rebooted nowonly my husbands logon is there. This is a big problem for me because I had everything set up under me like all of our business stuff, pictures, e-mails personal and business. I went into user accounts and I am gone. I was the original administrator and now I have vanished. Any suggestions?1 person needs an answerI do too

1. You were using the built-in Administrator for your daily work. This is not recommended because the built-in Administrator is normally only used for emergencies such as when your own user account becomes corrupted, etc. However, what's done is done. 2. You added a second user account with administrative privileges. 3. You rebooted the computer (this has nothing to do with updates). 4. The built-in Administrator account is now hidden from the Welcome Screen. This is by design. Solution: Put the built-in Administrator account back on the Welcome Screen since this is the account you've been working from. Create another extra administrative account for emergencies, etc. Call it something like "CompAdmin" or "Tech" or the like. Don't bother logging into it. It is only there for emergencies. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm - Enable/Disable Administrator on the Welcome Screen (Line 5) MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
