User Account not booting to desktop
When booting into Windows, at the Welcome screen, I click on the User account - the computer appears to start the process of loading the desktop, however, it immediately (within 1 second) logs off the User and goes back to the Welcome Screen.Booted in SAFE mode and was able to make changes, namely, I have deleted the two previously active User Accounts, and created a New User (Computer Administrator). This had no effect. The computer is used (primarily) as the hub for a home network. While at the Welcome screen, there appears to be no effect on the other computers using it to print or view files from the hard-drive of the effected computer. Not sure how to get past the logon (Welcome) screen. Any help is aprreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi, You say you can make changes while in Safe mode, I guess you can logon to the PC in Safe mode without it logging you straight off. If so then I would run antivirus / malware checks and review the system events logs to see if there are any logs related to the logging off. Let me know

I am having a similar problem. My account works ok but the account for my wife logs straight out again. I have been in previously when setting the account up. This was a fresh installation of Windows 7 last week.
