Use VPN-client with modified IKE/ESP-proposals
Hello *, I have currently configured my Windows 7 (Ultimate 64 bit) to use the built-in Agile VPN-client to connect to a vpn-Server running a StrongSwan vpn-implementation. It seems that the client can use other crypto algorithms than the ones proposed in the ike exchange (I'm particularly interested in EC-based DH and sha2-support), so I changed the default settings in 'firewall-properties/ipsec settings' to use my settings. It seems however that the algorithms described in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd125380(WS.10).aspx cannot be used, since the proposal sent by the client does not change in any way (most striking fact is, that only modp1024, group 2 is proposed for the DH-key-exchange). What am I doing wrong?
