I'm thinking to upgrade my tablet from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 but it doesn't have much free space left on the hard drive. So I'm curious after I upgrade by doing it from the Store, will it remove 3GB installer after it's downloaded and 8.1 is installed? Or at least can someone tell me where it's downloaded to so that I can check myself?

If you're upgrading from store, the forget about the installer. You can't get it. You are upgrading your PC, not downloading the installer.
