Upgraded to IE8 and now available wireless connections screen is completely gone.
I have a Dell Latitude D600. Was running IE7 with service pack 2. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox, since sites I frequent will not view in IE7 soon. Firefox froze my computer several times, and I was prompted by my updates to upgrade to IE8. So I downloaded IE8, then uninstalled Firefox. IE8 worked fine. The next morning I was then prompted to download service pack 3. I downloaded sp3 and got an error message after download that it was missing something and wouldn't be applied to my system. Since this, I can not access my available wireless connections. I have tried several restore points, I have tried removing and re-installing my wireless card program, Netgear. When I search for available wireless connections in Help and Support, it gives me the link to access the screen that shows the wireless internet connections, but when I click on it nothing happens, except for a small *notes* icon appearing in the help screen. When I go to tools, internet options, connections I can not access the settings tool. How can I fix this so I can get online again? 1 person needs an answerI do too
