Upgraded hardware and kept computer name within the network - Problems with shared printer
Hi Everybody! this is the problem I got: Our company has a small network where the printers are shared through a host computer. We replaced the aging host computer with a new one (both of them are running Windows 7 professional), but kept the same computer name, expecting that all the computers within the network would use the same printer without setting them up again. However, all the documents to be printed end up stuck in the printing queue, and some of them are succesfully printed only if we restart the spool server (spoolsrv.exe) or after a reboot of the aforementioned computer. Thanks in advance..

The issue can be resolved after you re-add the printers on all clients. Forum FAQ:How to manually add a printer with shipped driver http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/2c055ac8-b79e-4f30-a53d-798e69ed8d2f/
